Gabrielle Willams Hamer held office as Master of the Company for 2024-2025.
Gabrielle joined the Company as a Liveryman in 2003 and was elected to the Court in 2017.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and together with her husband Andy Hamer, lectures for the Institute on Corporate Governance and Company Secretarial Practice.
Her long career has included over a decade as a Company Secretary in FTSE100 multinationals, professional practice at Touche Ross (now Deloitte) in London and KPMG in Hong Kong and more recently as Group Company Secretary and UK Director for Springer Nature. She retired in 2021 but has returned part-time to be Company Secretary of Macmillan Publishers International Limited and the Digital Science companies, all part of the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group.
She is a Governor of St. Francis Xavier Catholic 6th Form College in SW London.
