Donald Kirkham concentrated his energies on the drive to expand membership and to involve new and more members in the charitable, educational and social activities of the Company. With this objective, he set in place strategic plans and restructured the fines payable on admission to encourage new members.
He promoted the appointment of liaison officers to enhance the Company’s links with the Armed Forces. At the same time he ensured that financial management was placed on a sound footing for the future and that proper attention to the Constitution safeguarded the Company’s heritage and reputation.
