The Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (WCCSA) aims to achieve and promote excellence in corporate governance, across all types of organisations. Ours is a professional discipline which relies on high standards and integrity, and Liverymen are the agents for safeguarding these principles on a day-to-day basis. WCCSA’s priority is to support Liverymen in this task, and to be a powerful advocate for good governance in a rapidly changing world.
Through a varied programme, we aim to promote friendly interaction between experienced colleagues working in diverse organisations and roles. WCCSA aims to stimulate professional curiosity and discussion, at enjoyable events, both traditional and innovative.
The Company sets a high priority on supporting the next generation, whether in formal education or already on the road to a governance career. This aim underpins our well-regarded education, outreach, and apprentice and mentoring activities.
WCCSA aims to maintain its contemporary relevance. To achieve this we aim to grow our membership, and (within our Charter ceiling of 300 Liverymen) to increase the number who are admitted to the Company each year. This in turn requires us to be alert to external changes that affect corporate life, and ensure that the way WCCSA operates meets the needs of our members and governance students.
